Your data never leaves your phone.
Not now. Not ever. That's the whole point.
Oreyov Warranty Tracker is built on a simple promise: your warranty information, invoices, and receipts are private documents that belong to you and only you. So we built the app to keep them that way.
Everything you store in the app — every photo, every reminder, every brand contact — stays on your phone's local storage. We never see it. We never collect it. We never could, even if we wanted to.
No cloud
Data stays in your phone's local storage. Period.
No login
No accounts, no passwords, no email required.
No tracking
No analytics, no ads, no third-party trackers.
1. Who we are
Oreyov Warranty Tracker is a product of Oreyov Technologies, an Indian software company that builds quiet, thoughtful apps for everyday life. When this policy says "we", "us", or "Oreyov", we mean Oreyov Technologies.
By using the Oreyov Warranty Tracker app, you accept the practices described below. If you do not agree, please uninstall the app.
2. How Oreyov stores your data
Oreyov Warranty Tracker uses your phone's local storage — the same place your phone keeps photos, notes, and other personal files. None of it ever leaves the device.
- All warranty entries are saved on your phone
- All invoice photos are saved on your phone
- All reminder schedules are stored locally and triggered by your phone's operating system
- Brand toll-free numbers come pre-loaded with the app — no internet required to look them up
Important consequence: If you uninstall the app or wipe your phone without exporting first, your data is gone forever. We can't recover it because we don't have it.
3. What we don't collect
This is the shortest list we can imagine — and we're proud of it. Oreyov Warranty Tracker does not collect:
- Your name, email address, or phone number
- Your warranty details, invoices, or purchase information
- Your location (the app never requests location permission)
- Your contacts or address book
- Your device identifiers (IMEI, advertising ID, etc.)
- Usage analytics, crash reports, or behavioural data
- Any data at all, in fact
4. What stays on your device
Here's a complete list of everything Oreyov stores on your phone:
Warranty entries
- Product name and brand you typed in
- Purchase date and warranty period
- Store name (if you added it)
- Custom notes you wrote
Invoice photos
- Pictures you snapped of receipts or warranty cards
- Photos you imported from your gallery
- Stored in the app's private storage area, not your public photo gallery
Reminder schedules
- Custom reminder periods you set (e.g., 30 days before expiry)
- Notification triggers handled by your phone's operating system
App preferences
- Sort order, view preferences, and theme settings
- Backup file location (if you've set one)
That's it. All of it sits in a sandboxed area of your phone that no other app can access.
5. Permissions we request
Oreyov asks for the minimum permissions needed to work. Here's exactly what we ask for and why:
- Camera — to let you snap photos of receipts and warranty cards. Only used when you tap the camera button.
- Photo Library / Gallery (read) — to let you import existing invoice photos. Only used when you tap the gallery button.
- Notifications — to deliver reminders before warranties expire. Triggered locally by your phone, not from a server.
- Storage (write) — to save backup files when you choose to export your data.
We do not request location, contacts, microphone, calendar, or any other personal permission.
6. Backups and exports
Because your data lives only on your phone, we built a backup feature so you don't lose everything if you switch phones, factory reset, or accidentally uninstall the app.
How backups work
- Tap Export in the app to save a backup file to your phone's storage
- You choose where to save it — Google Drive, iCloud, email to yourself, a USB drive, anywhere
- The backup file contains your warranty entries and invoice photos in a standard format
- You control the backup, the destination, and the encryption (if any)
What this means for you
If you choose to upload the backup to a cloud service (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.), that cloud provider's privacy policy applies to your backup file — not ours. Oreyov has no part in storing, uploading, or accessing the backup once it leaves the app.
7. Deleting your data
Because your data is entirely on your device, deletion is also entirely in your hands:
- Delete a single entry — long-press any warranty card in the app and tap Delete
- Delete everything — go to Settings → Reset all data inside the app
- Uninstall the app — removes the app and all its data instantly
There is no "request deletion" form because there is no server-side data to delete. You always have complete control.
8. Third-party services
The app uses a small number of platform-level services that come built into your phone:
- Android / iOS notification systems — to deliver local reminders. These are operating-system features that don't share your data with us.
- App store (Google Play / Apple App Store) — for app distribution and updates. The store may collect basic install metrics governed by their own privacy policies, not ours.
- Phone's built-in calling app — when you tap a brand's toll-free number, your phone dialler handles the call. We don't initiate, route, or record calls.
We do not embed any analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, crash reporting tools, or marketing trackers. The app is intentionally clean.
9. Changes to this policy
If we ever make significant changes to this policy — for example, if we one day add an optional cloud sync feature — we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and notify users through the app and on this page before the changes take effect.
If new features ever require collecting any data from your device, they will always be opt-in. The app's default mode will always remain local-only.
Have a question?
We're a small team in India, and we genuinely care about getting privacy right. If anything in this policy is unclear, write to us — a human will reply.
